I'm real
It was one of those moments. The kind
of moment where you wished you had a video camera to document what was
happening right in front of your face. It was classic. Aliesa
Montaine was embarrassed. She was supremely embarrassed. Her
head was buried behind Joey mortified. Everybody was staring at her.
And there was nothing else that she wished more right then and there but
to be able to crawl into a hole and just die. There were many things
that JC Chasez had done to her.
“Joey…” she pleaded. “Do something.” “Out of my control,” Joey replied amused prying himself away from her death grip. The rejection didn’t stop Aliesa from trying to get out of her plight. She clutched a hold onto the next available Nsync member within reaching distance. “Lance!” She pouted turning towards her friend and ally. He held up his hands. “Don’t look at me!” She garnered more options. “Chris?” “Not getting in the middle of this one.” Aliesa eyed her last resort. “Justin?” she asked hopefully. He shook his head. “Sorry darling.” She wasn’t going to get out of this was she? “It looks like you’re stuck with me babygirl,” JC observed from the top of the booth where he was standing, his hand extended towards her. Aliesa gave her husband a dirty look. “No way.” He ignored her protest and began pulling her out of the booth drawing her to him. Ever helpful to the romantic gesture, Justin gave her a push and soon she was in JC’s awaiting arms. “JC come on! Everybody is watching,” she implored. Even in the dark lighting you could see that her face was still crimson. She still couldn’t believe he’d made the DJ play this song. And if that wasn't bad enough he had not only got him to play this song, but he also had the audacity to talk the DJ into letting him say a few words. JC Chasez had given her a dedication. “This one is going out to the most beautiful girl in the room." Everyone in the club had heard. And Aliesa wasn’t exaggerating when she said EVERYONE. At the announcement all eyes had literally been glued to the pair. And even now they were all still watching JC persuade Aliesa to dance. The once noisy club was now stilled to a hush. The music of Simply Red’s “Lady in Red” filtering through the speakers a soundtrack to what they were witnessing. God help her that of course she was wearing a red dress and that JC was looking at her like she was the only woman in the room. It was downright cheesy. He knew it. He was totally using this to his advantage. “Let them watch,” he replied his voice low. “JC…” “Ali…” he said purring her name. “You owe me a dance.” “Later,” she appealed trying to sit back down. With one arm he gripped her around the waist stopping her flight and trapping her. “Ali. If you don’t come and dance I’m going to start singing it to you.” She looked at him in horror. “You wouldn’t!” Apparently, she didn’t know JC as well as she thought she did. He would. He got down on his knees. “JC what are you doing?” He cleared his throat and began singing, loudly. “Looking for a little romance given half the chance... I have never seen that dress you're wearing or the highlights in your hair that catch your eyes..." Aliesa could have died on the spot. “JC get up!” "...I have been blind...Lady in red..." Aliesa turned her head back at the VIP booth to the other boys, her eyes begging them to save her. And of course none of them came to the rescue. As if they would. They were loyal to the end. “Al just dance with him already and put us out of our misery! He’s ruining a perfectly good song!” Lance cried out as JC continued his serenade. The comment garnered him an icy glare from an appalled Aliesa who was trying her best efforts to get JC from off the floor. “JC! Get up and stop singing!” He paused a moment, thinking about her request. “Will you dance with me?” “JC!” "And I hardly know this beauty by my side…I’ll never forget the way you look tonight…” “UGH! Fine! Just stop singing!” And that’s when people started clapping. They were clapping! And they were hollering. And Aliesa was still an unhealthy shade of red. “That’s the first time I heard that coming from a lady’s lips about JC and his singing skills,” Chris commented as JC pointed in the group’s direction enthusiastically. They all raised their glasses to him. “Apparently Aliesa isn’t just any lady,” Justin pointed out taking a sip from his glass before joining in and hollering out to the pair. “Way to go JC!” Grinning madly that he had won, JC scampered up and led her to the center of the dance floor, which by now had been cleared in all the commotion. There he brought her arms around his neck and slid his own around her waist. Still utterly humiliated, Aliesa took that opportunity to press her face against his chest, covering herself from onlookers. But JC wouldn’t have it. He lifted her chin so she couldn’t hide, taking one of her hands from his neck and bringing it to his lips, turning it over and kissing the inside of her palm so she wouldn’t look away. She gave him that oh-you-think-you-are-such-the-man look as she curled her hand around his. Okay. She was going to admit it was sort of cute how he could be such a cornball. But she wasn’t going to let him think, not even for a second that he had bested her in the so in love act they had going on. First of all, she was never one for playing demure. And secondly, though she was still hoping the ground would swallow her up, she still had her pride. Summing up all the dignity she had left in a moment like this, undeterred, and mutely aware of the reverent observance around them, she joined in on the game. And was it worth it? Oh yeah. That look on his face when her index finger briefly traced small circles and twirls on his hand before placing it back on her waist was all the encouragement she needed. She wrapped her arm back around his neck, her fingertips caressing his skin. He shut his eyes, and he held her tighter. She rested her head against his shoulder and let him. They silently swayed to the music until it faded out and was replaced by a lone voice. “Ladies and gentlemen Florida’s own lovebirds. Mr. And Mrs. JC Chasez.” Not surprisingly, hooting and hollering followed that announcement. And Aliesa’s face once again matched her dress. She buried her head against JC briefly, before pulling away slowly. JC chuckled at her discomfort, winking at her before he nodded his head above hers in thanks to the DJ. He clasped their hands together leading her off the dance floor as thumping techno music replaced the slow one they had just been dancing to. Aliesa followed him, smiling shyly at the crowd milling back on the dance floor, as JC waved at them. Boy was it a moment. “MR SMOOTH!” Chris greeted his bandmate a high five and a slap on the back as the pair returned to the table. Aliesa hit him upside the head. “Damn! That hurt!” Chris rubbed the spot where she had struck him. “JC man you got to control that woman of yours. She’s got one hell of a temper.” Aliesa purposely waved her ring finger at Chris. She liked the way the diamond caught the light. Heck didn’t Marilyn say diamonds were a girl’s best friend? Besides the purpose of it was to call attention to it. “That’s what you get for egging him on. We don’t need him to do it again. Once was enough thank you very much,” she said sternly as JC pulled her into his lap. “Aw you know you liked it,” JC teased wrapping his arms around her stomach, and resting his chin on her shoulder. “I certainly did not,” she challenged. “Did too.” “Did not.” “Did too.” “Did not!” she disputed turning to face him. “Did too.” “Did not!” “Did too.” “Did---” JC captured her mouth with his before she could
complete her sentence. And much to his surprise she didn’t push against
him. No, she didn’t fight it. Instead she pulled him closer
when he leaned in towards her deepening the contact. She melted into
him, her fingers finding themselves twined in his hair as her lips parted
giving his tongue invitation. And so he kissed her. Really
kissed her. His lips, which had begun the intimacy with gentleness,
were now fierce and demanding on hers. His tongue probed, tasting
her, drinking her, breathing her. His hands, which had been
latched around her stomach, now found themselves sliding up her arm and
then up her back until it rested at the nape of her neck. He kissed
her, pushing away the nagging voice in his head telling him this was Aliesa
and they weren’t supposed to be really kissing like this. He just
continued the assault on her lips, teasing, stroking, nibbling, and caressing,
until he forgot everything else.
Her eyes fluttered open meeting his. “Not.” He kissed her again. She was undone. Her lips parted as a gasp of air rushed in. “Too,” she said as he pulled away in barely a breath. He couldn’t hold back his smile. He leaned to kiss her once more, because for some reason he couldn’t help himself. “OH GET A ROOM YOU TWO! Jesus! There are innocent eyes around!” JC paused, mere centimeters from her lips. “Do you want to or should I?” he murmured. “I will.” And at that Chris got another hit. “Girl quit it!” Chris flinched. “At the rate you’re going Kirkpatrick you’re going to be one bruised Nsyncer tomorrow,” Aliesa warned, her eyes never leaving JC’s as she rested her head against his forehead, her arms hanging off his shoulders. “And at the rate you two are going there’ll be a conception happening right here on the top of the table.” Chris got another knocking. This time it was from JC. “Touc-HY,” Chris commented, shaking his head before lifting up his glass to take a sip of his drink. He didn’t get much in his mouth. Aliesa tipped it. And that’s
the moment when everyone decided to laugh.
************************************ “I can forgive you for a lot of things but honestly JC did you really HAVE to pick that song?” Aliesa complained as they walked into their dark house, closing the door behind her. “What? I thought it was classic. I mean you were wearing red!” “But did you HAVE to tell the guys that it was because it was OUR song?” “I had to come up with a reason other than just because you were wearing red. It would have been stupid otherwise.” “Exactly.” “You’re just mad because everyone was looking,” JC argued as he threw his keys down on the table by the door and took of his jacket. “Exactly,” she repeated flipping on the light. “Most girls would find it romantic.” “I’m not most girls.” “I noticed.” She let the remark pass. “But “Lady in Red”? Could it get any cheesier?” “You may think it was cheesy. But you’ve got to admit though. I’m ingenious,” he said climbing up the stairs. “The guys bought it. I didn’t see Lance complaining. Did you?” “Too busy hitting Chris to notice," Aliesa remarked as they reached the top and she took off her shoes. “But I can say that I have no doubt in my mind that after our make out they are probably thinking that right now we are having wild unadulterated carnal sex.” JC blew on his fingers and proudly shined them against his chest. “Thank you. Thank you. I am THE man.” “Two people JC remember?” Her fingers formed the number two. “TWO.” “It’s okay Ali. You don’t have to say it out loud. I already know. I’m one hell of a kisser.” Her mouth fell open. “Oh don’t pretend to be offended.” “I’m not pretending.” “To tell you the truth I’m quite flattered.” “I was only playing the part I assure you.” “You liked it.” “I did not.” “Did too.” “Did not.” “Did too.” “I did…OH no you don’t! I see what this is all about. You just want to find an excuse to kiss me again,” Aliesa said crossing her arms against her chest. “Me?” He said incredulously. “Yes you.” “Um. No. I don’t think I’d have to trick you into kissing me again. You’d do it willingly. You wouldn’t have the self control to say no.” “Is that so?” “Without a doubt,” he said undaunted. She scoffed. “And why would I ever do that?” “Like I said. You think I’m one hell of a kisser.” “I most certainly do not.” “Hey I’m just repeating what you said.” “When did I ever---” And then it dawned on her when she could have. No way had she said that aloud. I did not say that out loud did I? “You DID say it out loud,” he responded. And if she doubted that insinuation the first time, the second time around she wasn’t going to. She HAD said it aloud. Oh GOD. How embarrassing. For the umpteenth time that night Aliesa Montaine flushed red. “Red’s a good color for you.” “You’re not going to quit the gloating are you?” “Hell no!” He responded cheekily. “But if it makes you feel better I think you’re one hell of a kisser too,” he added for effect. Instead of snapping back at him, Aliesa smirked. She smirked, because she was a bit smug. It was time for payback. She sauntered closer to him. “Is that so?” Her finger floated across his check to his lips. “So you wouldn’t mind then if I kissed you now? Even though nobody is here? And we don’t have to?” Her only reply was a quickening of his breath. Boys were so easy. “So do you JC?” She asked with a small knowing sort of smile, one that had his eyes widening. She leaned closer so that their lips were almost touching. “Want to kiss me?” She saw the slight flicker of hesitation. She stepped back, but made only two small steps before his hand shot out and brought her back against him. And then just like she knew he would his lips brushed hers. She smiled against his lips before being completely overrun by the sensation. It made her dizzy. It was just like before. But this time the tables were turned. She was the one in control. She forced herself to pull away. “Thought so.” His chin jutted out belligerently and she nearly laughed at the look in his eye. “You are so bad.” “Like I said before you’re too easy.” He scowled. “I’m GOOD. I’m SOOO GOOD,” she sing-songed. “You want to kiss me. You want to kiss me,” she taunted. He couldn’t take it. He kissed her again to shut her up, this time with a bit more urgency. Aliesa clutched at his shoulders, wondering why she felt so off balance and strange. It’d been a long time since she’d been thoroughly kissed and damn JC Chasez for being able to do it so well. She was weak. So weak she was going to give in to this moment. “JC,” she murmured touching the silkiness of his hair, as his lips found the hollow at the base of her throat. “Do you want me to stop?” he whispered. Her neck arched, giving him greater access. “No,” she answered, all the while pretending that this wasn’t what it was and that this was different, that they were different. But she wasn’t a fool. This was still a game. It was only a game. So she stopped him with a breathy, “Yes.” He groaned against her lips. “You’re right.” “We don't do this,” she managed to say as she attempted to regain her composure. “Right,” he agreed only to agree because he was still fixated on her lips. “Stop doing that.” She tugged herself away from his grasp giving them some distance, her arms hugging herself. “It’s not helping.” “Sorry,” he said softly. “I can’t stop myself.” Her mind was still a bit hazy. “And you’re telling me I’m the one without self-control?” In response he offered her one of his grins. Shamelessly giving her one of his oh-so-sexy ones before retreating to his room down the hall. “Goodnight Ali.” Aliesa watched him walk away, standing utterly still as his door closed behind him. “Night JC.” Her eyes closed. God help her. When he kissed her she couldn’t resist the urge to kiss him back. Chapter
