Frequently Asked Questions
1) Could you recommend another fan fiction to read?
We all have LOADS of great recommendations for fan fictions out there....and you can find our very favorites at another site run by Jess called MORE THAN WORDS. It's a fan fiction recommendation site by fan fiction authors and I guarantee you will find something you like.  You can also check the Links page to find past currently read stories.  These are the ones we are or have been addicted to since the incarnation of this site and all of them are most certainly a recommended read.

2) Will you host my story?
At this time we are not accepting any stories for hosting at this site.  However, in the future this policy may change.  We just don't have the time to dedicate to it right now.  If you have a story you want some feedback on, we're more than willing to check it out and give you some comments.  But right now that's all we can offer.  (*9/6/02*: You can now submit stories for hosting consideration at an ALTERNATE Obscure Thoughts website constructed specifically for hosting fan fiction. 3) How old are you all and where are you from?
Proud to say that we are all legal enough to buy alcohol!  Some of us are still in college, some of us just got out, and some of us wish we still were there.  Some of us are from the golden state (California),  others somewhere on the east coast, but we're all from the good ol' U S of A.

4)  Do you know Five/Nsync/Westlife/BSB?
Though we have met some of the above, and even have seen them in concert the answer is a resounding, without frills, full stop, NO.  Though we are extremely flattered you think some of us are girlfriends of members of said boybands, we don't know the guys, nor do we know anyone connected to them.  And NO we're not lying to you.  Trust me when we say we wish we were. :)

5) Do you actually read and reply to your e-mail?
YES WE DO!  We appreciate every and all e-mails and we try our best to answer everyone. We are all feedback whores as Jess likes to say.  You can find e-mail addies for authors on the Authors page of the site, or on any of the subsequent story pages.

6) Will you write a story with me in it?
We get this question every so often and though we wish we could say yes the answer is no we can't.  All our characters are figments of our imagination, already preconceived.  We write as it comes to us.  But if your name is lucky enough to be the same name of a character props to your parents for coming up with it.

7) When will you update?
This is always the question that gets asked most and the answer is always the same.  We don't know.  We try to update at least weekly but sometimes it can't be helped.  If you can tell us a way to get paid for writing fan fiction I assure you we would  update everyday.  Just be patient with us.  Creative spurts come and go and so does our sporatic updating trends.  But if you want to know exactly when we do update the site our suggestion is to join the UPDATE LIST.  It's the #1 way to know.

8) Will you link my story and/or site?
It is currently the policy here at Obscure Thoughts to not link upon requestfor several reasons, the number one being it gets a bit messy.  However, you will find linkage here to selections under "currently reading"...past and present that lead you to other fan fiction gateways...on the LINKS page of this site.
